Current Income

Cash flows that are anticipated in the immediate to short-term. An investing strategy seeking to identify investments that pay above-average distributions.  Common current income sources include dividends and interest payments. In real estate investments, current income typically is generated via quarterly distributions based upon the availability of cash (reserves less planned renovations) plus lease revenues minus the operating expenses of the apartments.  Pertains to debt, equity, and real estate investments
