:EAD U.S. employers must ensure that all employees are authorized to work in the United States by reviewing each EAD.
They do not need to apply for an EAD if they are lawful permanent residents. Their Green Card (Form I-551, Permanent Resident Card) is evidence of their employment authorization. They also do not need to apply for an EAD if they have a nonimmigrant visa that authorizes them to work for a specific employer (for example, they have an H-1B, L-1B, O, or P visa). Relates to the EB-5 program.
