EBIT — A financial measure: The calculation involves a company’s net income before income tax and interest expense are deducted.   

The formula for EBIT is:  

EBIT = Revenue − COGS − Operating Expenses Or
EBIT = Net Income + Interest + Taxes 

where:
COGS = Cost of goods sold​
 

Pertains to real estate, debt, and equity offerings.
