A term associated with a security that indicates the security has conversion features. For example, a convertible note provides an Investor with an investment having the Issuer obligations of indebtedness, but with the option to convert into the equity of the Issuer in the future if the equity becomes a more attractive investment to the Investor. Can pertain either to debt or equity.
